Watching DIRECTV

Does DirectTV permit recordings to be casted ? Whenever I try a message appears stating that casting recordings is either not supported or coming soon.  Well several years have passed and soon has come and gone.

Suddenly there is no longer a preview shown of the video during fast forwarding of DVR shows. Therefore, you have no idea where you want to stop the video. The video goes forward but the screen is stuck on the image when you started the forwarding. Please let me know how to fix this. It is on a gen

Why can’t I delete my recorded show at the end of the show? Previously, once the recorded program is at the end, the delete function popped up. Now I have to hit the back button and delete from that screen. Is this suppose to be a new function?

I had a couple of HR24 receivers. One suffered a BSOD and was replaced by an HR54R1/500 receiver.  Previously when starting up either receiver, there would be 90 minutes of buffer on whatever station was tuned.  The new receiver has zero buffer when starting.  Is this typical? 

I live in an Independent Living facility wherein basic Direct TV is provided, but a Direct TV Remote is not provided. Do I need to purchase a DIRECT TV Remote and program it to access programs? Can I use the remotes that came with my two TV’s, one an LG and one a Toshiba? Thanks in advance.
