Uverse DVR doesnt link when using a different ethernet cable than what ATT provided
I have my Uverse DVR ISB7500 wired with an ethernet cable provided by ATT. When I connect it with a different cable, the link light flashes slowly and never makes a connection. It works perfect when its connected with the provided cable however I need a longer cable. I am not sure what the issue is

My Gateway reboots randomly 1-2 times/week
