Streaming Setup & Equipment

Currently using spectrum with 2 cable boxes. Wife records number of shows/movies for viewing later. Can she do the same when streaming Direct TV? What equipment is required to receive direct broadcasts and record shows? Our TV’s are “smart”. Do they need to be hard wired or can Wi-Fi work?

I have a C71KW-400. I want to sign out of one account and sign into another. Using "Settings, Account, Sign Out" does not work. It keeps signing back into the old account. Just got AT&T with Direct TV streaming. Upstairs Tv works beautiful. Downstairs tv downloaded Direct TV app via RoKu but in trying to open the app consistently get the message We had an issue retrieving this content. I’ve deleted app then added it again but same message. Thoughts or suggestions?

With cable when I turned on the TV I saw only the channels it provided and designated my choices by channel number. I've cut the cable and now have a Roku device on my TV.
