Streaming via brand new Roku Express 4K+ issue

I recently setup directv streaming to replace my uverse. I can stream from computer browser and chromecast without issues. I installed a brand new Roku Express 4k+ on an additional TV. It is installed, updated and configured with the directv streaming account information on the Roku. When I try to start it, it cannot access content and suggest that I retry later. All devices that I have tested about are on the same network.

I have read that there were issues like this previously, but those where a few years back according to the dates. What can be done to address this since all equipment is new, configured and can stream other sources without issue.

The Roku Express models are on the low-end of the performance scale from Roku. That is not saying the device is inferior. DirecTV stream is a very heavy date intensive service. How far away from your router is the device located? What is your broadband speed?

I select the device because it does not need to be a powerhouse device for the intended purpose. Both the Roku and the wireless access point are in the same room approximately 8 ft apart with no obstructions between them. Internet service is 300mb/sec, more than sufficient for HD streaming. A HD stream of 1080 should use no more than 9mb/sec of bandwidth.

The TV it is powering is only a HD rated TV, so no 4K content will be streaming to it. The only reason I select this device over the plain express is the ability to power the up the TV and adjust volume so that one remote is all the is needed.

Have you restarted your router and modem? Did a reinstallation of the app?
