My receiver box keeps restarting I have unplugged everything checked connections everything nothing works

I just received an e-mail for a free Genie Remote. All I have to do is give my e-mail, phone number and account number.  Is this a scam or real? Kathy Abbett

I recently had the Direct TV receiver update my old receiver had a Sat in port and an out TV port . The video and audio cables go to the front TV, no port to attach coax cable that goes to the distribution box for other TVs .

I unable to get my RC24 remote to turn on/off my new Sony Bravia 46" LCD TV. All of the other TV remote functions work, volume, input,etc. I have tried programming the remote with all of the listed codes at least 3 times to no avail.Can anyone shed any light on how to resolve his problem?Thanks in a

We have a  SonyBravia TV and the satellite remote stopped turning off the TV and satellite receiver.  We have gone through the steps offered through the Help menu and it does not work.  Need assistance.  We have tried everything.
