I was told when I cancelled my Direct TV streaming that I could still use the device I paid for to use apps. Just recently, like a week ago I think it updated because now when I boot it, i get the sign in to direct tv prompt and I can't seem to bypass it. Do I own a brick now?

I have room in my DVR account, and my upcoming recordings are listed correctly. However, the next day when I go to my library, the show has not been recorded. This issue just began again this week. It happened about a year ago too.

The DVR is not working. It’s recording shows where I didn’t set the recording or set a bookmark. Then programs where I’ve set the recording and bookmark are being erased. What do I do?
