Hello, I cannot connect/pair my DirecTV Remote (Model # RC83V). I have been unable to pair it with my JVC Soundbar (Model # CA-THBA1, which uses RCA cables). Can anyone, please help?

Has DirecTv changed the skip forward setting from 30 seconds to 15 seconds for recorded shows yet? It's hard to watch recorded football games with 30 seconds. Is DIRECTV thinking about making a fast-forward less than 30 seconds?
