If power cycling everything temporarily fixes the issue, I'd check the HDMI connection and audio handshake between the DIRECTV device, TV, and receiver first. Try replacing the HDMI cable, using a different HDMI port, and temporarily connecting the DIRECTV device directly to the TV to see whether the receiver is causing the audio interruption.
Also check whether Dolby Audio or another surround-sound setting is enabled and test with it turned off.

Need more info:
What streaming device(s)?
How is the streaming device connected to your TV? AV Receiver? Soundbar?
What troubleshooting have you tried so far?
