What is this error? “e9k-03.1 needs authorization key” Got it for the first time watching the daily show on Comedy Central. It was recorded.

I'm trying to watch last night's Daily Show, and few minutes in, I get the error message shown in the subject line. This also happens when I use the On Demand function. Help!

How do I get this to go away? It's on my screen and the only thing I can do is hit down to see recent channels, and hit down again, it goes back to the message, Press DOWN...! Does Directv programmers even use their own product? help!
