Improvement suggestions

We use to have U-Verse in Illinois (and Dish in Florida).  Both had an option to see all shows set up as a series where you could go to manage your recordings of those shows.  DirecTV does not.  This would be helpful so we can know exactly what we have recording and verify we've set it up as "all" or "new only".  That being said, quite often I'll find an old show that is also played on channels playing reruns has recorded in addition to the new ones on primetime.  No always and no indication why...just all of a sudden shows up and then stops.  Also happens periodically with On Petrol Live where it records previous weeks show playing at an earlier time.  Not always, and no indication why it does it one week and not every weeks.  This is very irritating to have to go through and delete upcoming recording.

Thanks for the feedback, @dhdeiter! While we don’t have a standalone 'Series Manager' yet, we've shared your request for one with our development team. Extra recordings usually happen when networks share data that marks an old episode as 'first-run' for their specific channel.

A quick fix is to delete the series record and set it up fresh as 'New Only.' Also, be sure to Bookmark the series. This adds the show to your 'My Library' section, so you can quickly check your recording settings anytime. Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

Best way (right now) to see the shows you have setup on series recording--is to bookmark the show. Then your bookmarks show up under my library. The bookmarks tab is next to the end by purchases.

The streaming version of DirecTV does have some things to improve to be like traditional DirecTV (satellite) that would be a closer experience to your prior providers.
