Why so difficult to cancel

Called and cancelled direct tv, everything was taken offline however just received bill for this month. I haven’t watched any TV (cuz the service is not online) and have canceled so what’s the problem & of course not able to ask in chat online have to call!! Well I did that last month! Very frustrat

PAID UVERSE BILL BUT STILL NO SERVICE!!
