Watching U-verse TV

I have U-verse and 5 separate TVs - all with set top boxes. Some are older TVs, a couple are smart TVs, and one has a Roku. In what cases do I need a set top box?

Cannot sign into app.

For a couple of weeks now the weekly EBS test that comes on with the LOUD buzz has knocked my TV into a restart/reboot. It's a Samsung. Anyone else ever had this happen?

My main TV works fine. But the 2 mini genie boxes upstairs don't work properly. I've unplugged, reset, followed all the trouble shooting. I'll be watching something and then after a few minutes it goes to another screen saying it's searching for network. An orange light will show blinking on the box

Is there a place where I can find a channel guide for basic cable? This is lower than family.

Is a landline needed for the old Uverse ( grandfather Uverse)?
