U-verse TV Equipment

Thanks to earlier instructions on this list, I have gotten back to the gear and bar at the bottom. But it is taking a VERY long time to get across. Is that normal?

RECEIVER WILL NOT WORK

So this is interesting: A few weeks ago, I accidentally turned off the power to my gateway. I noticed that the DVR had the clock ("session" in the menu->options screen) reset to zero. I just noticed that my receiver was over 1200 hours since last reset. This is odd, isn't it?

The blue help button. I press it and the light on the receiver flashes and nothing else happens. I press "menu" on the remote, go down to the help menu and then...none of the tiles under "information" work. The "account manager" tile works. Other buttons on the remote work fine. It's not the remote.

I have att u-verse and ISP but am switching ISP to a different provider. I would like to keep the U-Verse. Is that possible?
