Will a Roku Streaming Stick 4k provide same features as Directv Gemini Air and remote?

I have a new show that premiered yesterday. It’s not available to watch on demand. When I pull the show up in the on demand section, there is no option to play it. On Xfinity, I can watch any previous show on demand. What’s up?
