When I power on with my direct tv remote my Sony Bravia it will not come on with the direct tv input

DirectTV streaming customer for one week. Successfully set Gemini up along with its remote. Worked ok until I turned Samsung. TV off. Unit turned completely off, making me have to start all over with programming. Any suggestions?

I have arrangement with Spectrum. But Spectrum is becoming expensive for the seasoned customers, and all it advertises with attractive rates are fake. I am trying to load the WIVB News 4 app on my DirecTV Stream Gemini box. The app is in the Google Play Store when I search on the Web. However, I can not find it when I do a search on the Gemini box. This is an app for my home town news station in Buffalo. I am on Direct TV in Southwest Florida.
