How does my remote turn off both the Gemini box and my LG C1 TV? I have all CEC/simplink turned off so it shouldn't do this right? How can I disable this?

Since subscribing to Directv Stream a few months ago, I have experienced intermittent episodes when the volume and mute functions stop working while everything else continues to work flawlessly. I have spent several hours with DTV Stream technicians using their "remote viewing" in an attempt to cor
