I just signed up for Direct TV streaming service. How do I get a remote for this service?

When I’m on live tv and push the “Apps” button, it takes a LONG time (about a minute or longer) for the apps list to load so I can open an app. Any solutions?

My remote is blinking 2 blue lights. What do I do to correct this ?
