Satellite

I recently purchased an AIM 1.0 Meter. It is running the latest software and I was wondering if this meter is capable of fully powering the LNB by itself or if i need to hook up the IRD to the meter as well. It is an SL3 with no multiswitch, HR54-500 and a 21 tuner LNB.

The only dealer who is listed in my area is not an authorized Directv retailer. Also, I have my reasons that I would never want anyone from that business near my house. Do I have any say as to who does the install for new service?
