Between watching on the osprey box, the DirecTV app on firestick, and the DirecTV app on Android, the last channel watched is not consistent; a different channel comes up depending on how I'm watching. Why is this?

I can’t believe the only way to turn on closed captions was by voice comand ”turn on closed captions”. It wasn’t in Settings. 

It’s the direct tv app stop acting like it’s not. I have 3 Apple TV’s in my house in FL one in my office and three in a second home in TN. All locations also have smart TV’s and I have the same problem at every location. I’ve deleted the app reinstalled it countless times on the TV and the Apple TV

What action on one tv will show on all tvs. For example I know marking favorites change carries over to all tvs. What else if anything?
