Watching U-verse TV

My TV is on HDMI 2. I can be watching TV and all of a sudden it loses the picture. I then have to use the remote, open the HDMI menu at bottom, select #2 again and the picture comes back on. It’s like it kicks out the TV/picture from HDMI and you have to go back and re select it to continue watching

I keep getting an error message Login Required Please log in with your U-verse Member ID (email address). Of course, I know that and when I enter it along with AT&T password, same message.

It has been several days now and on demand still not working! Tried restarting/ rebooting receiver as well as plugging out gateway and plugging back in. Thus, On Demand not responding. The circle in the lower right hand corner just keeps spinning and not loading video!
