U-verse TV Equipment

Replacement wireless receiver not completing setup. Said connected, I hit option to update firmware and been on U-verse screen with spinning circle on bottom right for over an hour, I moved it right next to WAP same thing for last hour.

As noted in title, the S30 remote I have now has the volume buttons reversed. If I press up, volume goes down. If I press down, volume goes up. All other buttons work exactly like they should. Wife and kids got fed up and stopped watching U-verse tv in this room altogether as a result. Problem start

Remote will only turn on power a volume up and down. No other remote buttons work. I have unplugged all coercion to the receive and pressed power for 10 seconds
