How do you turn on or off the closed captioning option with a streaming remote control?

I supposedly have a ticket open on this but no solution has been provided in over two weeks. I'd like to know why I'm continuing to experience the following issues: 1. Randomly a pop up message occurs asking if I use this remote to control the DirecTV. It makes absolutely no difference what I answe

New User here. The search doesn't work on my Apple tv. When I go to navigate to a letter it stops. Tried restart and reinstall of the app already. I tried my phone, but you can't search 4k content.

Can someone tell me if the even app is supported? I've read it is and it isn't.
