Watching on Satellite

On the old app, I can download shows and watch on the plane while traveling. On the new app, this feature is no longer possible. Does anybody know a way I can watch my recorded shows offline on the new app? Thanks.

When I search for the uodated DirectTV app on my Samsung smart TV’s, the app does not appear in the App Store. These are Samsung TV’s listed as compatible devices. The only DirectTV app that appears on Samsung App Store is DirectTV stream. I have satellite Direct Tv and was excited about the update
