When are y’all gonna restore channel 51 ?

Channel 51 has been removed because of a dispute between direct tv and the station provider of channel 51 so the customer is the one that’s paying the price because we can’t see the programs we watch on this channel so I will like many others will not continue to pay this high price for a service that has proven to be unpredictable with it’s lineup it’s football season and a lot of games we watch are shown on this channel this is the last month I will pay for service not equal to the price charged to customers

Blame your local channel. They are usually the greedy one. I did without my local NBC for 6 months when I decided to switch to Dtv Stream from Mediacom b/c the local station wanted more money.

Like with any TV service there are always disputes over channels.  I understand that it can be frustrating that your local channel 51 is no longer on the air while they dispute. But this can happen with any TV service whether it is a streaming service or traditional Cable/Sat.  If you chose to change services because of this dispute that is your choice and we wish you the best of luck with your new service.

The local stations are well aware that subscribers feel like you do, and use that fact to push blame onto the carriers (streaming, satellite, or cable) so that the customers will complain to the carrier, rather than complain to the local station that they are demanding huge increases to allow the carriers to carry the station's signal - which you can get for free with an antenna.  Why Congress or the FCC chose to let local stations do this - effectively double dipping by getting free use of the airwaves and still being able to charge retransmitters (carriers) as much as they want - is unclear.
