Stream Recording Issues

I have had DIRECTV stream for almost a year now. One of the consistent issues I’ve had is episodes of shows that I’ve set to record, not recording. I check and reset the series recording to make sure that I’m set to record all episodes, not just new. But they still seem to skip recordings randomly. And once they’re gone, you can’t go get them anywhere, even though I know DIRECTV has them saved on a server for 9 months.

The second issue is when a program is 2 or 3 hours long and records in 2 or 3 sections. The episode numbering is frequently not in order. So you’ll start watching the oldest episode only to find that it is the 2nd or 3rd, rather than the first. And because there is no indication in the description of what hour it recorded, you have to start watching each one to figure out the order.

This morning was a new glitch I’ve not run into before. A program that failed to record yesterday actually did record today, meaning it shows up in the library listing. But when you click on it to watch, it takes you to a description page with no “Watch Now” play button. So it is there, you just can’t actually watch it?

Come on DIRECTV, you can do better.
