Rental movies HD or 4K?

I was thinking of renting the new Jurassic Park movie from DIRECTV stream tomorrow for a birthday get together. I’ve never done that before and I cannot figure out how to tell if it’s HD or if it’s 4K or if it’s 4K Dolby Vision, which obviously would be the best.

What am I missing and how do I tell?

Thanks for reaching out and considering DIRECTV STREAM for your birthday, @janice805! To check if the new Jurassic Park movie is available in HD, 4K, or 4K Dolby Vision, follow these steps:

- Use the search function to locate the new Jurassic Park movie. You can type the title into the search bar to find it quickly.

- Check the Movie’s Details Page: Once you find the movie, navigate to its description page. Look for labels such as HD, UHD, 4K, or Dolby Vision in the movie’s description or specifications. These indicators will confirm the available video quality.

Let us know how it goes. John, DIRECTV Community Team

I already did that or I wouldn’t have posted the question. I looked again and there’s absolutely nothing that says HD or 4K or anything. And this is within the DIRECTV stream software, right?  I mean, I know on fandango, it says 4K Dolby Vision, and on prime it’s just 4K no Dolby Vision. But on DIRECTV stream, it says nothing. It says it’s PG, 2025, action Science Fiction, two hours and 13 minutes, and then says TVNSDPPV. there’s nothing indicating 4K. As a matter fact I hope the SD in all those letters doesn’t mean standard definition. I wish I could send you a photo of what I’m looking at. Again, just let me know then in this post is it HD or 4K before tomorrow. Thanks.

DIRECTV offers on-demand movies in various qualities, with 4K UHD and 1080p Full HD as the highest options, depending on content licensing, service type (satellite or streaming), and equipment. Most movies, including Jurassic Park, are typically available in standard HD (1080p or 720p), depending on the channel or on-demand source. John, DIRECTV Community Team
