Recording List & Guide Thumbnails Missing
I have 2 Gemini Air's and 2 Osprey boxes. They have been showing preview thumbnails for the guide and the library/recordings list up until about 1-week ago. Now, there are no thumbnails displayed, just blue boxes. You have to navigate to each "box" to see the name of the recording.
I have tried:
- rebooting the devices
- verifying account login on devices
- verifying the network connection both wifi and wired are good
- rebooting my home network
- clearing the Directv app cache from the devices.
So far nothing has helped.
Any Advice? So far this seems to be a DirecTV back-end issue.

@Harbor5049 I've seen this same issue from other people recently. Do you have different DNS servers setup in your settings for the internet connection----or on your router? I think another person had this issue and had Quad9 DNS setup on their router.

Hi @Ludwick577 — that was it!
I had Quad9 (9.9.9.9) set as my primary DNS. Switching to Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and rebooting the Gemini units brought the thumbnails back immediately.
Quad9 was apparently filtering the CDN domain used for thumbnail delivery. Excellent catch — thanks for the help!
