Recorded shows won’t play broadcast provider error…
I am experiencing an error regarding something related to broadcast rights? My error indicates that the “Broadcast provider has restricted access to this program”. Experiencing this error for recorded shows from various networks, CBS, NBC, etc. the DTV “Tech Support” said the solution was to watch the shows live! Any help appreciated.

Yes, it's true that some networks restrict streaming rights for some of their content. There's not much DirecTV can do about that.
What shows, specifically?

What are you trying to watch and on what devices?
What troubleshooting have you tried?
Recording from streaming sometimes has more restrictions than recording a live broadcast (from satellite or cable). But a bit more info is needed to see if that is the case or if there is a technical issue with your exact recordings.
