(Padding) recordings time before or after
Can't for the life of me figure out how to add time before a recording or after. Some of my recordings start 15 to 20 seconds into the show. I see tutorials to use menu & info button on remote. My remote has neither one of these. So far only solution is record the show before then fast forward to the next show. This seems like a pretty silly solution. Help

Hi, @GWFEAM. DIRECTV Streaming's Cloud DVR allows you to record a program from the start, even if you begin after it has started. It automatically captures the entire broadcast for later viewing in your Library/DVR playlist.
Additionally, for sports fans, there's an auto-extend feature that continues recording if a game goes into overtime or runs longer than planned, requiring no manual adjustments. This feature is available only for supported leagues and events: DIRECTV sports team recordings and live scores FAQ | DIRECTV Support Rhyan, DIRECTV Community Team

Thank you Ryan for the information, however the start of the recording is several seconds in from the beginning of the program. I can not go back to the actual beginning of the program, I can go back to when the recording starts which unfortunately 15 seconds into the program.

To help us look into this more, could you share what device you're using? Also, does this issue happen with all the programs you record, or is it just with a specific show or channel? Rhyan, DIRECTV Community Team

I was watching the Bills and the Broncos -That game went into over time CBS I was watching the recoding of the Game Channel 105 caught up to live with 4 min left in regulation and was still watching -not changing the Channel while in overtime with 5 min left in overtime -the recoding Cut off! I was able to hit the mic and change channel to local CBS and didn't miss the end.
Had not been home the recording would have ended with 5mins left to play
Hope you can use that as an example
