Not recording full programs

I am streaming Durect tv. Several times i have set programs to record only to have the recording stop prior to recording the full program.  This has happened mostly with sports programs with extended play times. Very frustrating to miss the crutial play after watching two and a half hrs of play.  The old Genie device at least let you choose a time extension! Streaming doesn't!! Horrible customer service!!!!
