New Feature Discovered
Today I noticed that when I recorded a program that was in progress that it recorded the show from the beginning. I really like this feature, and I hope this sticks around and does not disappear like so many other things as of late. But what makes me hopeful that this is sticking around is that it is not just on my Gemini Air but is also on my other devices.

That’s a new one on me. Thanks for pointing it out.
At first, I thought maybe it was something that would apply just to major networks, and in primetime. But I have been trying it out on some fairly obscure channels, in the middle of the night, and it does indeed go back and capture the entire program. This is happening on the Gemini, the Roku app, and the iPhone app.
It’s funny, you can’t rewind when it’s live and you’ve just tuned in to the channel. But the recording does capture the whole thing.
Edited to add: It seems that pretty much immediately after starting the recording, you can access the recording and start watching it from the beginning.

Yah it's another great new feature. Esp if you forget to set a recording. Now, I just wish they'd let you setup which channel to record a "series recording" on instead of recording that show on every channel it appears on!

As someone who doesn't have this provider, does it still stop recordings at the designated end time with no option to extend?

Thanks for asking @baseballisback , we have auto-extend on applies to the NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA leagues, NCAA Football and Basketball (Division I), Soccer (UEFA, FIFA), PGA Tour Golf, English Premier League and German Bundesliga. Extended sports recordings are contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region. Blackout restrictions apply. Data connection is required.
