Is anyone at DIRECTV monitoring Wimbledon to extend recordings? Day 2 cut off mid-serve...
It seems many live sports events are monitored by DIRECTV and they automatically extend recordings if the event is continuing past the planned end-time in the Guide.
Today is Day 2 of Wimbledon, with rounds recording from 6 AM ET to 4 PM ET, and today is day 2 that the recordings ended as planned - yet the matches were still in progress.
There are 13 more days of tennis and it would be great if DIRECTV could monitor and auto-extend the rest of the matches. Please!
(Yes, I'm manually telling DIRECTV to record the "next" events in the guide, but that's a pain: Recap show, then two 30 minute titles, then a 60 minute title.)
Device: Osprey, Service: Stream; Recording: Series - for WImbledon (on ESPN, ESPN2, Tennis Channel)

You should never rely on the "autoextend" feature. It's best to record whatever show is on after the tennis match to ensure you catch the whole thing.

(Hello old friend from the Cutting Edge days! Good to see you! After leaving satellite due to cost many years ago, the death of cablecards killed my TiVo service, so I've made my way back to DIRECTV!)
I'm definitely NOT relying on auto-extend (as stated, I'm recording the next events on the channel, which itself is a pain as the next two items are 30-minute shows, then a 1-hour show) but this is something I'd really want to get to DIRECTV's attention to monitor. During the Australian open they extended recordings, but they didn't extend them in the French open, and so far haven't extended them in WImbledon, so there's precedent and I'd like them to do it again.

DirecTV does not control the auto-extend function. Extended sports recordings are contingent upon third-party recording service availability and varies by packages, channel subscriptions & billing region.
