Hulu,ESPN Unlimited, and Disney +, coming for free ?

Just got the email where Directv will be adding Hulu, ESPN Unlimited and Disney +  to my account For Free.

What gives with this Deal ? Have they negotiated a deal with them for us, and will this be permanent or just as a trial ? Looking for insider Info. Have the Choice Package.

Thanks, Glen

You’ve read it right, @Glenee! Disney+, Hulu & ESPN Unlimited are coming to DIRECTV — at no extra cost for all Streaming customers with a Gemini device on a Signature Package, offering a unified entertainment experience. This is a permanent addition, not a trial. Here's the insider info you need: https://www.directv.com/insider/disney-plus/ Enjoy! 💙Rizza, DIRECTV Community Team

Here is what I have found about Signature Packages:

DIRECTV Signature Packages are comprehensive live TV plans offering a wide variety of channels, including sports, news, and entertainment, with a focus on providing a complete entertainment experience. These packages offer a more traditional channel lineup compared to Genre Packs, which are curated to specific genres.
Key Features of DIRECTV Signature Packages:

Extensive Channel Selection:
Signature packages offer many channels, including local, sports, news, and entertainment options.
Flexibility:
Customers can easily switch between Signature packages or even switch to Genre Packs, though downgrading may affect your access to the new package until the end of your billing cycle.
Local Channels:
All Signature packages include local news channels and regional sports networks (RSNs) based on your location.
Streaming and Satellite Options:
DIRECTV offers Signature packages for both streaming and satellite customers.
Specific Signature Packages (examples):
ENTERTAINMENT: A lower-cost option with 90+ channels, including locals.
CHOICE™: Offers 125+ channels, including locals and RSNs.
ULTIMATE: Includes 160+ channels, with more sports and entertainment options.
PREMIER: The most comprehensive package with 185+ channels, including premium movie channels.
OPTIMO MÁS™: Specifically designed for Spanish-speaking households, with 100+ channels.
How to Choose a Signature Package:
Consider your viewing preferences: Think about the types of channels you watch most often (sports, news, movies, etc.).
Compare channel lineups: Look at the specific channels included in each package to find the best fit for your needs.
Consider the cost: Prices vary based on the number of channels and features included.
Check for promotional offers: DIRECTV often has discounts or promotional periods for new customers.
In short, DIRECTV Signature Packages are a great option for those seeking a wide variety of channels and a complete live TV experience.

I don’t know what a signature package is. I have the entertainment package. Is that a signature package and will I qualify?

And, well access be through their apps or through the DIRECTV guide somehow?

Hey, thanks for the info. I found all the info you listed in the beginning of your post, but I couldn’t find what you provided which was the specific packages. I even logged on to my account and it didn’t say anything about signature packages and I had never heard that before. Thank you again.

I have never heard the term "Signature Package" before, either. But this is all the info that I found.

The name "Signature packages" is a new name for just the old service tiers that you're used to  The new name is to distinguish between this an the new Genre Packs, where you can buy small collections of channels.

I’ll make a guess that this applies only to “DirecTV via internet”, not old-style Stream, and conceivably only on leased rather than owned Gemini devices.  I’ll also guess that this would be a “with ads” bundle, likely with no way to upgrade to ad free.  I’d be happy to be proven wrong on all those guesses, but I tend to doubt this will benefit me.

It said all DIRECTV streaming and the email came to me this afternoon with my DIRECTV stream email address. I had two satellite accounts for 25 years but they are now closed and used a different email.

And I don’t even have to ask because I’m pretty sure the packages will be with ads, of course, sadly.
