Home Network Change Due to ISP Dynamic IP

My ISP uses dynamic IP and does not offer static IP.  When I signed up for DirecTv Stream, my IP location was correctly showing the city I live in.  My IP recently changed and now the IP location is showing I am in a city a hundreds miles away. As a result, I am now limited to 2 streams because DirecTv shows I am outside my Home Network.  I had the same issue when I had Hulu+ Live TV.  Hulu offered an "address override" which solved the problem.  I contacted DirecTv tech support and they were absolutely no help.  I was told they do not have an address override and offered no solutions. I haven't used the Set New Home option is settings as I am afraid the "automatic update" will move me to the IP location city and I would lose my local content.

Has anyone else had to deal with this issue? Any solutions?  Also, I have not been able to find a VPN service that would have an IP in my area.

Thanks.  Turns out VPN is not an option anyway.  Do you know if the set new home location automatically moves you to the location of the new IP?

Setting a new home location has nothing to do with the physical location on the earth. It sets the IP address as being unlimited for the number of streams. You can only change this four time per year, at least without begging customer service. Not related to setting home location, depending on the streaming device used, DirecTV may use the IP address being used at that moment to determine which local stations you would get. Sometimes it is very wrong. To avoid this, use a Roku or Firestick and then DirecTV will use your billing address to determine the locals. Using a device that has location services, such as Osprey, Gemini, or ATV, DirecTV will give you the locals for your actual physical location.

That is not so. My account address is Michigan. However when I  am back in Michigan I get local stations for South Carolina where I  also watch Directv Stream.

Did you ever set the zip code in the Roku settings?
