Guide not recording a whole series
I have had World News Tonight on ABC for years. Within the last week it stopped recording the series. I never changed anything. I did find that instead of recording it in it's usual 5:30PM time slot it was recording at 9PM on some alternate channel or at midnight. I canceled all of the series. I tried resetting series with new only and it did the same thing. I tried with all episodes and it did the same thing. I had to manually go to every day and set the recordings. I even set it on every day to record series and it still won't record the series. It is only doing this for this one show and not other things on that channel. There is obviously something wrong with the guide or whoever programs the guide. I have other shows that are set to record NEW only and it will record 5-10 reruns on different channels because the guide shows them as NEW even though they are old. I called and spent an hour with a guy that had no clue and asked me all kinds of dumb questions and said he was reading from a book what to ask me to do and most of it didn't even apply to my Genie.
Any idea how to fix this mess of a guide?

Hi. Having the exact same issue. Just posted my complaint for this issue. Hopefully someone will fix the problem with their guide. Glad we are not crazy. Our times are an hour different because we are in the Eastern Time Zone.

It seems like a simple computer programming issue. For some reason the guide always shows shows as NEW even when they are years old. I record SNL on Saturday night and have it set for NEW only but there is some dumb channel called SNL Vault that shows every episode as NEW and it records them all same with Family Guy on Comedy Central

@dchbbc59 @Boreslog, which local ABC are you recording (where are you located)? i record Muir's in L.A. and all is good - this might be a station problem

I am having this same issue with recording World News Tonight on ABC. I have deleted the recordings and cancelled the series. I go back and try to set up series to record all episodes - and I do all (not just new episodes). It is hit or miss which days it records it. I too have done this for years and it worked flawlessly but recently this has started to be spotty as to which days it records.
Very annoying!

We’re having what problems with recording World News Tonight on WMUR. It is set to record at its local broadcast time (6:30 PM Eastern time). Instead of that, we eventually get the national streaming version after it plays at 10:00 PM. And it is actually that later national feed, which we can tell from both the content and the ads. We have canceled the recording and set it only to record a single episode, but we get the same result.

I am also having this SAME problem (stops recording scheduled series) with the SAME show! (ABC news tonight with David Muir) WHY IS THIS A COMMON PROBLEM FOR THIS PARTICULAR SHOW?? I also cancel the series then started over to schedule to record only NEW shows but the problem continues to happen. Direct TV PLEASE FIX THIS GLITCH!!!

@ngold which specific city/specific ABC local you watching? this has been resolved for several cities - i ran into the issue in L.A. area and a friend in Seattle. Both fixed recently for Muir's news.
