Fraud Department - HELP!
I have an unresolved fraud issue that has been ongoing for 5 months. In fact, a DirecTV employee is the one who has committed fraud and as a result, I have been billed almost $1k for a service I did not purchase and do not have at my home. I have filed a police report, spent hours on the phone with our bank, completed and submitted all documents through the DirecTV fraud site --- and I am still being billed monthly. When I submit all required documents, I keep getting a generic email reply asking me to "Kindly help us with the correct account details." DirecTV disputed our fraud claim with the bank and submitted "verifying" information that actually proved that I am not the customer. The email address, billing address & phone numbers all belong to the other person and are not mine. The bank helped me get the account numbers from the documentation DirecTV provided the bank since I did not even have access to that information. Yet every time I submit the information, I get this nonsense reply from DirecTV asking me to provide the correct account details. I would highly recommend other customers RUN as fast as you can away from DirecTV because if anything goes wrong, their customer service is useless. I've been "disconnected", lied to & gaslit multiple times and now the fraud department is just ignoring the claim and sending this reply that implies I owe them more information when I have provided everything requested. $1,000 and counting.

If you're still getting nowhere, file a BBB complaint.

Hopefully the DM from forum support will get this resolved. They have done rather well. If still unsuccessful, then I concur with going the BBB route. That would kick it up to the corporate level.
I wonder if the issues with your case is because of the changeover. AT&T sold off DirecTV last year and the transaction just recently completed.
