Fast Forward Issue
We just switched from Xfinity to Directv. When we fast forwarded through commercials in Xfinity, after we pressed stop, xfinity would automatically reverse from that point about 6 seconds or so. Directv doesn't do this, which means whenever we stop it, we always miss some of the show or game we are watching. We can press the reverse button but that usually reverses too far and gets us back in the commercial. Is there a way to avoid this annoying problem?

My Tivo with still active cable card does this too. Will be one of the main things I miss when i am forced to give up my Tivo. I am hopeful DirecTV or a competitor adds this feature by the time I am forced to choose a new TV vendor.

I don't know of a way to fix this issue for you. On Roku I use the RIGHT ARROW to FF 30 seconds at a time. LEFT ARROW will rewind 15 seconds. If I FF past the commercial and into the show, I press LEFT ARROW once or twice to get back to the end of the last commercial, so I only have to wait a few seconds until the show starts again. I am OK with this process.
