ESPN app hangs often on Gemini device

I have continuous issues with the ESPN app on the Gemini air device. If I exit the app and then return, often I get the spinning E after selecting a stream to watch. I have to resort to going to HOME system->apps on the device and "force stop" the app and clear cache. The app then restarts and all is fine when I return. This problem seems to be more consistent when viewing a multiview and either exiting or using back to get to the ESPN home screen before exiting. I do not have this problem with ESPN on my Roku devices. It would seem that it should be more stable with a Directv approved device but it is not. Who is responsible for this app? Directv or ESPN? Is there a fix? If it cannot be fixed then how about putting a "Restart" in the ESPN app itself to make it easier.
