I think I have a different system (not satellite). I just have an oval connector that I plug into HDMI. And my remote doesn’t have an ‘R’ on it. I have been trying to record by pressing the red dot button from the guide screen. Any ideas? Thank you

It looks like you have a DIRECTV via Internet service as you have a Gemini Air device. To record, press the Overflow (three dots) button at the top part of the channel button, then select Record. Many of us are experiencing this same issue on local channels. Please post the solution here vs. taking it offline

I don’t see a solution posted here. Does anyone have a solution? I also have the little “box” on my hdmi port. I can record some channels like hallmark but not local channels like ABC.

Any helpmwould be appreciated.

Adding that I see the issue. While my locals have changed, whatever mechanism you use for RECORDING programs, still thinks I am undressing the Hartford CT locals.
I have it set to record all NY Giants games. Last week I watched them on WNYC channel 5, HOWEVER the recording that I have saved was from THE CT LOCAL WCCT which was covering it.
So you changed my locals but NOT my pointers to what I record.
