DirecTV Stream App Update

For many of us that have been having issues with the DirecTV Stream App, there is a new update that released within the last 30 minutes.

Let's hope this update clears up our issues.

Not sure what device you are talking about but my Roku is running 3.27.3010102, and my Fire Stick is running 4.0.25.35858. Both higher than 3.24.30201.

Running a Samsung Smart TV....

DirecTV is supplying release 3.24.30201

It hasn't cured all of the app issues, but at least it's a start.

when will directv stream do an update to there firestick app as it keeps messing up on the 4k channels. on my roku device with the same internet is works great . half the time on the firestick device the 4k channels will come up congested  and you half to reset the channel two or three times to get it to play right  so please fix it directv stream . thanks

Is your Firestick TV further away from your router than the Roku TV? Sounds like it could be a weak or low Internet signal at the Firestick TV. What is your Internet speed?

no they are both beside each other and this problem is only happens using the directv stream app on firestick . i think its an directv app as the roku app was recently updated to there new version but they haven't released the new version on the app to firesticks as of yet

I have 2 Samsung tv’s and the DIRECTV app doesn’t work on either tv. It isn’t my ISP as the app works fine on my 2 Apple iPads. The app opens on the tv but it appears similar to the appearance of the app on the iPad. But nothing is present on the screen, only three headings watch now, my favorites and in demand. Every other app works fine on both tv’s. DIRECTV  tech spt solution ….. buy a Roku or fire stick.

If you are using the native app for the Samsung Smart TV, I am not surprised. That app has always been erratic since conception. Support is correct - buy an external streaming device. You can find 100's of posts on the issue if you are willing to search the forum. Majority have opted with external streaming devices.

Been running a 2017 Samsung OLED 4K Smart TV since 2018 with the DirecTV/AT&T/DirecTV variable releases of apps through the years. The TV is great and the app has been fine for the last 2 years.

Once DirecTV/AT&T got their act together there's hardly any complaints.
