We recently rolled back an app update for some customers with select Samsung TVs, as the experience was not currently up to our standards. Please try deleting and reinstalling the app. Also, could you provide the Samsung TV model number and the DIRECTV Build and Version located under Settings in the app? Charles, DIRECTV Community Team

The Samsung Stream app has never worked very well.  You'll have a much better experience with a stand-alone streaming device, like Roku, Fire, Apple TV or DirecTV Stream device.

What version was it rolled back to? Because mine hasn't changed since it updated and messed my login up.

How do you roll back updates for use on Samsung tv? My problems loosing voice control on remote frequently. It always requires pressing reset button on the dongle to restore it but this is to hard for my elderly father and mother to keep doing

You can't roll back updates.

Yeah i noticed that DIRECTV has never responded to my post because you are absolutely right. There no rolling back an update.

The reply post above from directv staff indicates you should roll back for Samsung. Please post how. I really need this to fix the problems with my father-in-law‘s streaming remote voice control, losing functionality. They are elderly, and this is hard for them to manage. I can’t always be able to run over to their place and reset the Gemini dongle.

The support rep is wrong. There's no way to roll back the update. The only way that will happen is if Samsung releases a new version to update the old version.
