Digital buzzing hiccup/beep in audio when using DirecTV Stream on TCL Roku TV

When I watch any channel on my TCL Roku TV, every few seconds the audio glitches and distorts for a split second to make some kind of digital buzzing/beeping sound. It’s like it keeps hiccuping. I thought it was a problem with my TV, but noticed that this only happens on the DirecTV stream app, and not any other app. The TV model is 50S435. I have tried reinstalling the app and it still persists. The problem began around February of this year. I am not using a sound bar or any external speakers. I have moved houses and wifi networks since the problem began and it still continues, so it’s likely not a connection issue. How can I fix this? It’s driving me crazy hearing this glitch every few seconds

Do you have issues on a specific channel or do all channels have messed up audio? What about DIRECTV STREAM on-demand content, is its audio distorted as well? If you have other streaming devices, do they bring this issue?

I have this problem for all channels. I notice it most when there’s a lot of dialogue, but the frequency doesn’t change, it just stands out more for how it disrupts normal speech patterns. I haven’t tried it with on demand content, I’ll try that this evening and see. I have several other streaming devices that I run dtv stream on and don’t have the same issues with, including a smaller tcl Roku tv, an iPad, an iPhone, a macbook, and an Amazon fire tv. The fire tv I do have issues with the stream always being choppy and low res no matter how many times I remove the app and clear the cache and redownload it, but that’s another issue for another post.

I just signed up, and immediately searched this because I’m having the same issue!

 My wife doesn’t mind it. I do though. 

i cannot keep this service if it doesn’t go away. I’m on a TCL TV too.

Totally agree I have the same issue. Roku tv and directv stream app. Very irritating!
