Autoextend for baseball not working
I've had two baseball recordings cut off with one out to go, despite having the auto extend box indicated. Am I correct in assuming if, when you go to Upcoming Recordings, and that box "+autoextend" is shown, then the the feature will be activated automatically without any further action from me? Is anybody at DTV aware and working on this fault?
It seems to me that DTVs picks which shows will auto extend, like baseball. Is there a way to turn on auto extend for other shows and events 'manually'? I seem to recall someone here saying we have to seek out and separately schedule the shows following an event if we want to record past the indicated length of the show. Is that right?
In our marvelous 'tech age' why are our options more limited than in the VCR era, when you could choose any time period for a given channel??

I never rely on AutoExtend. Always schedule to record the show after the game to ensure you record the whole thing.

I tried to create a series recording of my team's post-game show, but there is no series option. Otherwise it's impossibly time-consuming. Some posts say that the show's originator has to send an embedded signal that triggers the auto extend, and not every show sends the signal, but others say other services like YouTubeTv auto extend the same sports that DTV can't or doesn't extend. I miss my VCR - AND its slo-mo.
