I have a Osprey box on 3 tv's. I access DTV via app on 2 other Samsungs in same house. I would think you would be able to access your account on a personal device from anywhere, buy only 3 can be registered outside the home.

Since you have satellite service - no. It requires the device to see your satellite box. If you want to be able to stream away from home, you need either "DirecTV Stream" or "DirecTV via Internet" service.

AFAIK you can stream most channels in your sat package but you can't stream from the DVR right now, DTV says that they will return streaming from the DVR using the app sometime. DTV stream and DTV via internet are the same thing.
