Using Directv with Alexa!
I paid thousands of dollars for this equipment that was supposed to work flawlessly, and it does not, for example, if I'm watching directv and I ask Alexa to change the channel, it actually changes the INPUT to my Firestick and starts trying to find some app to use there, even though I erased the directv app from my firestick months ago. So I can't even change channels with Alexa on my stinkin TV. Nor can I open my favorites list. About the only thing I can do is increase volume.
Can ANYONE help?? Would be happy to record and send video! (Edited per Community Guidelines)

DTV drop support for Alexa months ago, they are now using Google.

DirecTV dropped support for Alexa almost a year ago. At this point you shouldn't be trying to use DirecTV with Alexa. If it was working with DirecTV for you until recently, you are very lucky.
No equipment truly works "flawlessly" or will work with other companies forever. Amount of money you paid cannot change that.
Time to either use the remote as normal, or find another alternative to the DirecTV/Alexa pairing.

I still miss the skill, the Gemini option is not a real option without the same functionality.
