Unable to record a show that "shows" as streaming

I got a new Hisense tv and Direct tv won't allow us to record any Astros games.  I can schedule them - just like before- from a channel we get in our package....but once the game is on....it gives me an error message that "recording is not possible on a streaming show."

All other recordings work just fine....but this one channel 674.  The tv does allow streaming on apps / but the problem occurs when we are using the Directtv set up and a channel we are paying for.  

I've run all the diagnostic tools for troubleshooting the satellite and all come back as good. I've also reset the direct tv box and that has not helped either.

Thanks for troubleshooting and initiating a diagnostic test, @Plc6104r. We want to investigate further. Are you having the same issue on other TVs/devices? Please let us know which ones, so we can check. Rhyan, DIRECTV Community Team

so....we do have 2 other tv's, but regardless which one i set the Astros to record on - (remember it just goes to the DVR I guess?) it still won't record. I had HOPED that since it showed int eh recording queue on all tv's....it would somehow record. But no go. (I've even tried to record other showings after - but still on that channel 674 SCHNHD- and it still won't record.)

Just to make sure, you have the Choice package or above and the RSN fee is showing on the bill?

Yes!! Choice all included. And we had been recording the games just fine from that channel BEFORE we set up the new tv this past weekend. ????

We're investigating this. What device is scheduling the recording, and on what device is the game being played back? Also, are you trying to use the DTV app on the Hisense TV?

we record on the Direct tv DVR....but watch/ play back on the tv. I don't have or use the app- we just switch to the Direct tv guide and set up for most viewing - then use apps for streaming stuff.

Have you tried refreshing the authorizations?  reset the DVR then any minis?
