Recorded Programs Suddenly Not Listing on Android or Roku Apps
Starting several weeks ago, our Roku and Android apps on the same network as our satellite receiver (Model HR44/700) can no longer update the list of DVR recordings from that receiver.
We have been adding and deleting recordings on our HR44 as normal since then, but the DVR Recordings list on our apps still show the same shows that were on our list when this issue started in early September. At the top of the DVR Recordings list on the apps, we get this error message:
Unable to Update
Make sure your receiver has a working internet connection.
We have tried power-cycling our HR44 (after doing that, I can at least run a SpeedTest again). We have tried switching our network connection type on the HR44 from wired to wifi and back to wired. Internet connection status in the settings menu on the HR44 looks fine. Speedtest from the HR44 looks fine (max speed attained). The little wifi icon appears in the top left of all of the Guide and List screens on the HR44 as normal. Ads load fine when content is paused on the HR44.
We are able to connect to the HR44 and control it via the Android app. I believe the receiver needs to be on the same network as the phone using the app for that to work. So, that tells me that the receiver should be connected properly to share DVR recordings with our local Roku and Android devices.
Not sure where to go from here; hoping someone else has seen this before and can lend a hand.

As a follow up in case anyone else sees this issue, something in the list of things I did above must have worked. Things are working again. DVR items on the HR44 are making it to the apps in near real-time and are being deleted within 24 hours of deletion on the HR44.

I have directv satellite service on 2 tvs, one on a wireless mini genie and one on a wired mini genie, they both have the dvr black screen problem. The only thing they have in common is the big genie? Any suggestions?
