On genie air box/remote is there no way to recover a deleted recording, or to even access the recording manager.?

DirecTV (satellite) does not have a way to recover recordings.

DIRECTV STREAM with the Gemini Air (not Genie Air) there is a very limited option where you can undelete immediately. After that it is gone.

Just not something the services under the DirecTV umbrella were designed for.

Thank you.  I take it you mean undoing the deletion by immediately re-clicking the delete icon when the "undo" notice pops up?  And I guess there is no longer a way to access the "recording manager" for whatever the reason?

Canceling the delete as you've seen is the only option. Beyond that, there is no way to recover deleted videos. You must record them again.

As for the recording manager, I think you are looking at options for DirecTV (satellite) boxes. Beyond that, the user interface has updated a few times so some videos may not be completely current.

I, thought of that, and limited my Google search to the last year, but still the older versions kept popping up. Plus a lot of them don't really specify which version of the service they are dealing with.

While you can't recover deleted sat recordings they still be available to be rerecorded from On Demand until it expires.
