loss of CBS

Tell me exactly when CBS will be restored.

I do not need your service without it and you have delayed way too long

This is a customer-to-customer forum and we here do not know when the Directv and Nexstar dispute is going to come to an end!  Only the big wigs of Directv would have any idea when this would be resolved.  You could always call Nexstar and ask them why they pulled the channel as Directv did not remove it.  If you are able to you could always get an OTAA (Over-the-Air-Antenna) to pick up the channels that you are currently missing from your channel lineup.  If you were to switch who knows when the new company would have to renegotiate their contract with Nexstar as they own your local station that you are missing no matter what paid TV service you go through!  Last I knew Dish Network was still negotiating with Nexstar and their negotiations have been since January of this year!

It will be restored exactly when Nexstar allows it. You are asking for someone to see into the future, so asking the impossible. Nexstar is keeping their channels away because they want DirecTV to cave into their demands for higher costs, which if successful would be that much more to our bills.

Since this is fighting against higher costs, I say DirecTV has NOT delayed too long. I want them to hold out until Nexstar agrees to a reasonable rate.

Most of us did not go to pay TV for our local channels. Those are free over the regular airways. So plug in a antenna if you feel you cannot live without the channel. We don't need any specific channel. TV is still entertainment, not a necessity.

You do NOT speak for everyone. You're just another consumer, no more special than anyone else.

Nexstar owned channels are back. However there are other local affiliate stations through they are owned by another station are controlled by Nexstar. Those channels have to reach a separate agreement. It is a loophole allowing Nexstar to have more channels than allowed.

As long as the local affiliate owner is wanting to raise rates, they can stay gone. If you feel you have to right to speak for everyone, then how about you pay for everyone? Otherwise just use a regular antenna as has been posted many times in the forum. Pay TV is about channels that have no free broadcast.
