Have you run network setup on the HR54 or just plugged it in?
Power cycled the router?
Through DirecTV menu reset network defaults?
Once it is recognizing properly connected it may take up to 48hrs for all On Demand features to be available.
Also make sure you don't have any other receivers connected to internet as multiple direct connections causes conflicts. The HR54 will be the connection for the others.

The mini receivers have whole home.
I have 2 Linksys mesh one is the main and the other is where I have the dvr connected they are hardwired. I used to have the HR 44-500 everything worked fine but it crashed.

I'm guessing those are Mini Genies which are Clients, not receivers (no tuners of their own and cannot connect to internet separately as they get everything from the main Genie). Whole Home works through the coax.
In a traditional setup, I would have you unplug the Ethernet and then pull power on the Gateway (modem/router combo) for a couple minutes. Then power it back up before working on the HR54. However, with a mesh setup some of the other ACEs are more knowledgeable about those.
On the HR54 unplug power for a couple minutes just to clear cache
Menu > Settings & Help > Settings > Internet > Reset network defaults.
Plug Ethernet back into HR54 and internet connection point.
Run network setup on HR54.
Also, log into your account and refresh the HR54. That refreshes service authorizations which may kick something through. Just so all bases are covered.
